Pride Strikes Again!
Come on out and have a ball with us on Friday, 23rd November! Following on from our popular event last June, here's another chance to be kept on your pins while you live life in the fast lane. With a plentiful supply of pin-ups and hot shots, this strikingly awesome event at World Bowl in Richmond Hill is sure to be right down your alley.
World Bowl World Bowl is a state of the art entertainment bowling centre with fully automated 10-pin bowling lanes and computerized scoring.
Tickets offer admission to this event for $15 (or $10 for students), and may be purchased online at www.eventbrite.com/event/4872679315
Admission covers lane use between 7pm and 9pm and shoe rental. Youth unable to purchase tickets by credit card: please contact 'My House - Rainbow Resources of York Region' on 1-888-905-5428x74 to find out about alternative arrangements.
World AIDS Day - Candlelight Vigil
The AIDS Committee of York Region will be holding a candlelight vigil in Richmond Hill, to remember those who have been lost to HIV and to raise the awareness of HIV in York Region and in the world.
2011 Candlelight Vigil Join us on Wednesday 28th November for this Candlelight Vigil to commemorate World AIDS Day. We will gather to show solidarity, share an evening of remembrance, and commit to stemming the tide of this global pandemic. The schedule is as follows:
  • 5:30pm to 6:00pm: Arrival (at ACYR York Region, 10157 Yonge St)
  • 6:00pm to 6:20pm: Opening
  • 6:20pm to 7:00pm: Walk up Yonge St with candles
  • 7:00pm to 8:00 pm: Closing, Moment of Silence and Reception at Cover Notes Café (10268 Yonge St)
