COVID-19 Update

Sunday, March 22nd, 2020

Hello Friends,

We hope everyone is staying safe and keeping all members of our community in mind as you practise social distancing.

York Pride is staying up-to-date with significant developments and statements from all levels of government as we strive to implement safer and healthier practices. We are also engaged in ongoing communication with our many partner organizations, not least neighbouring Pride festivals, local municipalities and organizations that host some of York Region's Pride events or help us to stage our own signature events.

Pride Month is just a few months away and, as we gear up to celebrate 20 years of Pride in York Region this June, we are also working on contingency plans.

Presently we are proceeding on the basis that the York Pride Festival and its constituent events will continue as planned, but with likely adjustments to enhance health and safety.

We are however continually reviewing the situation and will continue to keep you informed of any changes to our 2020 plans.

Lastly, we would like to encourage you to keep your heads up, be hopeful, stay safe and be kind during these challenging times.

Happy York Pride!
