For the first time ever, a marching contingent, representing York Pride Fest and other York Region LGBT organizations, had participated in the 2008 Toronto Pride Parade.
In 2009 however, the parade included a York Pride Fest float, comprising a decorated boat, mounted on a trailer and towed by a vehicle.
Additionally, throughout the Toronto Pride weekend York Pride Fest hosted a Community Fair booth on Alexander Street.
